In July we took a quick trip up north to co Durha and had a day out in Whitby. No vampires, Goths or steam punks, but there was a curious ship sailing towards land. It was a wonderful sunny day with no trace of fog.

For a birthday treat I got a river trip from Foley Bridge. Despite turning up on the wrong day we had fantastic weather, a great meal and a day to remember.
